So in honor of my new and extremely awesome camera, I finally found the time to get my Mom in fron of the camera. Did I mention that my Mom is stunning? Well she is!
You know how they say the photographers family never has pictures of themselves? Its so true - I have always wanted to take some pictures of my Momma and we just never get round to it. So this weekend we found a few minutes to get some cute shots!

When your Mom starts asking you "Sarah, are you gonna blog these pictures?" thats when you know you've been a bad blogger! BUT I have an excuse :) I had Fasching, my oral exam and a visit from my Mom and friend Rebecca all in the last 3 weeks. That didnt leave much time for blogging, so now its time to play catch up...
I have so much exciting news to tell you guys: I got a new camera as an early graduation present from my Mom and Step-Dad a NIKON D700 which is frickin amazing and to top it off I am finally getting my very own website! Am I a freak for having a blog before a website?? Oh well, I am finally making one and I want it to be perfect so its going to be a while longer but sometime next week it will be up and then i will post the web address for everyone to come and check it out!!

So as of this past Wednesday, I turned in my Thesis!! wohooo - its about damn time! I swear if I would have had to read one more book about the sociological effects concerning family, I would have had to stab myself in the eye!
But now I am back to trying to blog fun and interesting things ;)
Alright, I took these shots in January on the most beautiful of days - now let me just say that I am not much of a landscape photographer but since I could not find a spur of the moment model at 11 in the morning, I made do with what I had...
Who knew snowflakes really do have the prettiest shapes :)
Now if only everyday was this beautiful... it sure would make the cold a little more tolerable! But thank goodness for my Emu's, I swear they have been attached to my feet since October. They may be ugly as sin but don't hate - they keep my feet dry and warm!

So I will continue to be MIA for the next week because wednesday I turn in my Bachelor Thesis, but after that I am FREE!!!

I don't even know what to say about this shoot, other than it was amazing! Freezing cold, but still amazing. I met Isabel through a model forum here in Germany, where she wrote me saying that she asked if I would be interested in working with her. And after seeing that hair and her gorgeous face, I of course said yes.
We met up at her house to pick some outfits and when I saw the plaid blazer I knew exactly what look I wanted and with my blue shoes that I brought - amazing!
We took several breaks, where we went to the car and turned the heater on full blast so she wouldn't freeze to death and after we realized how hungry we both were a stop at burger king was a must as well :) I cant even pick a favorite from this shoot that's how amazing it was, so I will let the pictures do the talking.
The sunset was absolutely incredible...
Here's my last set of photos from 2009! I was so excited when Steffen told me they wanted to get some pictures for their Mom because 1. I don't get to shoot boys very often and 2. they are 3 brothers all close to the same age -oh the possibilities. So what did I do? I got online and searched for pictures of the Jonas Brothers for posing inspiration, dont laugh at me - it was the first group of brothers that came to mind.
When the shoot day rolled around, it was -15 degrees Celsius (5 F), windy and snowing! So we moved around at the speed of light trying to get all the locations together that I had in mind while trying not to freeze to death! I loved so many shoots from this day...

Well she's two months so I guess she is not technically considered a newborn anymore but for lack of a better word - newborn! Some of you may remember Viki's Maternity Shoot from September and now its my pleasure to introduce her little girl Lilli! She's such a cutie :)
